Second-year pharmacy student Keturah Mingledolph ’22 spoke at the 30th annual Black History Intercollegiate Consortium MLK Celebration on Jan. 21, foreshadowing college celebrations during Black History Month.

The MLK celebration, "The Dream in 2020: Conviction in our Purpose, Clarity in our Mission, Resilient in our Progress," was hosted by MUSC on behalf of consortium members from MUSC, the College of Charleston, The Citadel, Trident Technical College, and Charleston Southern University.

“Diversity and inclusion is an integral part of the MUSC experience,” said Philip Hall, dean of the College of Pharmacy. “Our intent is to create an academic health care community where every member is respected and valued.”

During Black History Month in February, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the College of Pharmacy is scheduling several events including the fourth annual Black History Month Seminar on Tuesday, Feb. 25 with keynote Dr. Jean Hilaire ’10. Dr. Hilaire will share his journey from Haiti to Charleston.
