MUSC Proud

When asked what made them proud during American Pharmacists Month, many members of the MUSC pharmacy family showed their pride of…. each other.

“We launched the #MUSCproud sign initiative expecting most people to self-identify with things like ‘proud member of the Class of so-and-so’ and ‘proud resident’ and so forth,” said Megan Draper, director of development. “What was surprising was how many chose other people, like classmates, patients, or colleagues.”

The College of Pharmacy made downloadable MUSC pharmacy “Proud…” signs as part of the #weareMUSCpharmacy campaign celebrating American Pharmacists Month. Participants posing with their signs were posted on the college’s social media pages, along with day-in-the-life photos by selected MUSC pharmacy family members who took over the Instagram account for a day.

"It’s #americanpharmacistsmonth so I gathered some of our crew to post what we are proud of as oncology pharmacists,” shared Jennifer MacDonald Norton ’15. “Love my job and the amazing team of physicians, nurses, MA, and fellow pharmacists I work beside. But I’m most proud of our patients – their strength and determination and light they bring to such an otherwise dark time in their lives."

Jessa Mae H. Sabate '23 posted, “I really am proud of my Rutledge Tower Pharmacy family as they do a lot to help out patients – especially during this pandemic. I am proud of them, our pharmacists, our pharmacy technicians, the interns, and everyone who delivers the orders to us and maintains the cleanliness of the pharmacy!"
