Woster wins UNMC Distinguished Alumnus Award

The College of Pharmacy's Patrick Woster, professor and chair of the Department of Drug Discovery and Biomedical Sciences and SmartState® Endowed Chair in Drug Discovery, has been recognized with the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) Alumni Association 2022 Distinguished Alumnus Award.  

The Distinguished Alumnus Award recognizes an individual's noteworthy contributions to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, the pharmacy profession and to the health of all people through patient care, research, teaching and/or health services administration. Recipients demonstrate the highest principles of the pharmacy profession and serve as a role models for current and future pharmacists.

A native of Omaha, Neb., Woster received a B.S. in pharmacy in 1978 and a Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry in 1987, both from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
