Julia Hormann and Kiara Hallows spoke to representatives on Capitol Hill about the ECAPS bill while attending the APhA-ASP Summer Leadership Institute July 19-21!

The Equitable Community Access to Pharmacist Services Act (ECAPS) would authorize pharmacists to provide care and receive reimbursement for pandemic-related services for the nation’s seniors. It's one of the advocacy efforts adopted by the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), making it an excellent topic for the APhA-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) Summer Leadership Institute (SLI).

The SLI prepares APhA-ASP chapter officers for their leadership roles, enhances their skills, and empowers them to guide their chapter to continued success. During a series of interactive and educational sessions, attendees are challenged to identify their leadership style, discuss team-building strategies, develop communication skills, and receive updates on APhA-ASP activities.
