Her business cards must be enormous. Sherri McLamb’s post-MUSC College of Pharmacy life will be in a two-year fellowship industry, officially the Sanofi-Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) Global/US Commercial Strategy and Marketing: Rare Diseases Fellowship.

Unpack all those words and you’ll find a gem of a fellowship. Sanofi is an innovative global healthcare company and has a long history of developing highly specialized treatments in rare disease. The MCPHS provides the academic environment to support the fellows with teaching and research experience.

The Global/US Commercial Strategy and Marketing fellowships have a core focus on new product planning, digital marketing, market research, competitive intelligence, franchise marketing operations, public affairs and patient advocacy, and humanitarian programs.

If there is anyone who can manage all these opportunities, it is Sherri “Ivy” McLamb. She was accepted into the college’s Early Assurance Program while earning her biology/biological sciences degree at Jacksonville University, where she was an athlete in women’s track and field. She represented MUSC on the national stage by serving as national corresponding secretary for the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) and teamed up with Aisha Siddique to finish second in the country in the SNPhA Eli Lilly Business Case Competition. Among other honors and awards at MUSC she was a Science Mentoring and Diversity Program MedTech Scholar and member of pharmacy leadership society Phi Lambda Sigma and pharmacy honor society Rho Chi.

“I look forward to contributing to Sanofi’s mission of bringing innovative treatments to patients with rare diseases and driving meaningful impact in healthcare access and equity,” she posted. “Here’s to the start of an exciting new journey—I can’t wait to join the Sanofi team and make miracles together!”
