AW 25 Pharmacy alumni dive into the COP Alumni Barbecue

The all-MUSC Alumni Weekend featured opportunities to mix with alumni from all MUSC colleges, giving many alumni a chance to reconnect with the people they got to know during their interprofessional education.

But the weekend also offered plenty of opportunities for college-specific celebration. The College of Pharmacy Alumni Barbecue followed the tours of the facility and also included a visit from MUSC President David Cole along with First Lady Kathy Cole. As College of Pharmacy Dean Philip Hall mentioned in introducing Dr. Cole, the president was instrumental in helping get the new pharmacy facility built. Dr. Cole spoke about some of the current challenges in health care and how MUSC is helping to address them.

To the crowd's great amusement, the president also mentioned how pleased he was to come to a pharmacy alumni reunion in which alumni no longer asked him when the college was going to get a new building.
