Anthony DeClue has worn the hat of student, faculty member, preceptor, health-system and community pharmacist, and even rhetoric instructor. He can relate.

If you’re a preceptor, take a good at this face. It may appear at your door. Faculty member and alumnus Anthony DeClue, ’16, is hitting the road, making visits to experiential education sites so he can thank preceptors for their service and talk with them about the program.

Experiential education is more than a quarter of a pharmacy student’s education. Preceptors have a huge impact on the lives of the students who rotate under them, often providing the inspiration and insight that light a career path.

DeClue hopes the visits create additional opportunities for engagement between the preceptors and the faculty, strengthening the program and giving students an even stronger preparation for the profession.

He also wants to act as a conduit between preceptors and MUSC pharmacy alumni. He is collecting testimonials from alumni about their rotation experience to share back with preceptors. Did a preceptor make a difference in your life? Is there someone you want to thank for your experiential education?

We can help make sure the preceptor gets the message! Send your testimonial to walluk@musc.edu!
