MUSC team acing ACCP Clinical Research Challenge

The team of Melisa Davis, Elizabeth Singleton, and Rianna Lash has lifted the MUSC College of Pharmacy into the country's top 20 colleges of pharmacy competing in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Clinical Research Challenge!

The challenge is a team-based competition in which teams of three students compete against teams from other schools and colleges of pharmacy nationwide in an online format. The competition began February 12, 2024, with more than 80 teams entering the Online Journal Club Competition. 

On February 14, 2024, ACCP announced the top 40 teams moving on to round two, the Letter of Intent (LOI) for grant submission round. This past Monday, the ACCP announced the top 20 moving into round three, full grant and research protocol design submission). 

The deadline for submissions is April 19, 2024, and the winners will be announced June 12, 2024. The top three teams will be invited to present their research design at the ACCP Annual Meeting, among other prizes.

Davis came to MUSC from Northern Arizona University, where she earned a BS in biomedical sciences; Singleton is Clemson University graduate with a degree in chemical engineering; and Lash completed her pre-pharmacy work at the University of South Carolina. All three students are second-year.
