The Kansas Chiefs have got nothing on the MUSC College of Pharmacy.

For the second year in a row, the MUSC team won the Student Clinical Pharmacy Challenge! Madison Price, Jenny Smith and Tye Fobbs collected the championship hardware at the South Carolina Society of Health-system Pharmacists (SCSHP) Annual Meeting in North Charleston on Thursday, March 7.

It was a return-to-form for Smith, who was part of the winning threesome last year along with Melina Terrien Wingerter and Amanda Everett Forrest. She also won the SCSHP Clinical Skills Championship last fall alongside teammate Sam Brace to earn the right to compete in the American Society of Health-system Pharmacists (ASHP) 2023 National Clinical Skills Championship.

No wonder she was named SCSHP 2024 Student of the Year.

"It's a real testament to the hard work and preparation of our students," said Philip Hall, dean of MUSC College of Pharmacy. "It also says a lot about our program and faculty. We had an outstanding group of people recognized at the 2024 SCSHP Annual Meeting and I'm proud of them all."
