A strong MUSC contingent participated in the 2024 Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) National Convention with impressive results, including two top five finalists in a competition and an elected national officer.

The 2024 SNPhA/NPhA National Convention was held August 9-12 in Los Angeles.

Led by Sherri McLamb, who as elected to the National Executive Board as national corresponding secretary, and the team of Zomaria Smith and Aisha Siddique, who finished as top five finalists in the Walmart Prescription for Service competition, the college’s students made sure MUSC was represented at its finest.

“We’re very appreciative that our students gave MUSC a presence and a voice with SNPhA on this important platform,” said Philip Hall, dean of MUSC College of Pharmacy. “Our SNPhA chapter has been very strong for several years and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments at this convention.”

SNPhA is an educational service association of pharmacy students who are concerned about the profession of pharmacy, healthcare issues, and the poor minority representation in these areas.
